Northfield & Sharp Creek Named Family Friendly Schools by State
Northfield Jr/Sr High School and Sharp Creek Elementary were both recently renewed by the Indiana Department of Education as 2021-2022 Family Friendly Schools.
Launched in 2015, the Family Friendly Schools designation focuses on addressing the academic, physical, emotional, and social needs of students while providing the needed resources and fostering active family involvement in the schools and the community. Schools on the list have proven to welcome all families into the school community, communicate effectively, support student success, speak up for every child, share power and collaborate with the community.
The IDOE recognized around 30 schools across the state with this honor, including both public and nonpublic schools. MSD of Wabash County is immensely proud to have two schools on that list.
