Academic Honors Students Recognized at 36th Annual Banquet
MSD of Wabash County celebrated academic excellence at its 36th annual Academic Awards Banquet, which was held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Honeywell Center. The event recognized Northfield High School and Southwood High School students who have maintained an A average throughout their high school careers.
The following students were honored for their outstanding academic achievements:

Each year, MSDWC invites an accomplished alumnus to serve as the keynote speaker, and this year's honored guest was Dr. Jason Knight. A Southwood High School valedictorian, Dr. Knight earned a degree in biochemistry from Indiana University before completing his MD-PhD at the University of Michigan. Now a Professor of Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School, he specializes in rheumatology and leads an NIH-funded research lab focused on autoimmune diseases.
The MSDWC Academic Awards Banquet continues to serve as a testament to the district's commitment to academic excellence and student success, as they challenge students to dream big and work hard. Congratulations to all the honored students for their hard work and dedication.
